Receiving support at home or moving into residential aged care can have specific eligibility requirements. Below we outline the steps we recommend you follow to access the variety of accommodation, care and health services available to you.
If you would rather talk to a member of staff who can answer any questions specifically, please call 1300 111 278 or send us an enquiry.
Do you need daily support, short-term respite or permanent care?
See our frequently asked questions for information on the residential aged care facilities Anglicare offers.
Before you enter residential care you need to be assessed by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT).
ACATs are generally based at hospitals or community centres and you can get a referral from your local doctor. To arrange this free assessment, call 1800 200 422 or visit myagedcare.gov.au
Each home is different so we recommend you visit a few. Speak with staff and residents, see how the home operates, view accommodation, talk about fees and ask questions.
